£60.00 Russell Brockbank was acclaimed as one of the finest illustrators in the motoring world. His prolific work was published from 1930 onwards in numerous motoring publications including Autocar, The Motor, Road & Track and Punch where he became Art Editor in 1949. Unquestionably the consummate motoring cartoonist for three decades. His work, with its attention to detail and sharp wit, was so international in its appeal that it seldom required translation. He died in 1979, following a serious illness, aged 66. Images are supplied on canvas blocks, an informal format which suits their style and wit. These are treated with a protective coating to maintain their appearance for many years to come. Canvas block size: 45 x 30cm
