1960 Ferrari 250GT Limited Edition Print

£250.00

To our eyes one of the most beautiful Ferraris ever, the competition version of the 250GT SWB disproved the general rule that says that road cars don’t make great racing cars, and vice versa. Like the McLaren F1 some 35 years later it was hugely accomplished at both, and unlike the GTO that followed it was designed as a road car first and foremost, one that with minimal modification could be driven to a race, win it, and then drive home again. So good was it at this double life that when Stirling Moss won the RAC Tourist Trophy in one at Goodwood in 1960 he did so while listening to music on the radio and even the race commentary.

This particular GT is in the yellow and silver colours of Ecurie Spa-Francorchamps, a Belgian motor racing outfit who ran their cars in a variety of sports racing championships until as recently as 1982. Photographed at Goodwood on the short straight before Fordwater, in the background a twin engined DeHavilland Dragon Rapide biplane airliner is preparing for take-off.

Along with a signed Certificate of Authenticity it all adds up to a wonderful gift – either for yourself, or for someone you love.

The paper size is 48cm x 33cm, with a print area in most cases of 40cm x 26cm.
